FRENCH RAINCOAT - 1980'S
PRESENT
On this French rain coat, we simply add the USARMY compass pocket on the front yoke. We add the military green MYAR termobonded deadstock fabric logo on the back top part of the yoke.
PAST
Waterproof manufactured in 1987 and supplied to the French army. A functional exterior in "packable" nylon. The body is made of light, waterproof and windproof nylon fabric, and the back and armpits are made of mesh, which can easily become vaporous. In the 80's the materials passed from cotton to nylon and other light and manageable materials. This is a rare article that was made during the transition period before the adoption of the current Navy. It was produced by SCOWARTON, which operated in WARNETON, northern France.
The original American compass holders, made of nylon, were used with a rear hook to anchor the waist to the belt.
