ITALIAN FLIGHT JACKET

This jacket taps into the distinctive elegance of a classic Italian jacket: THE ITALIAN DENIM IKE JACKET.

Inspired by the famous “EISENHOWER JACKET”, otherwise known as the “IKE JACKET” created by general Eisenhower himself, it is a perfect mix of military panache and functionality. 

The Italian version was developed for the Air Force at the beginning of the 80s to supplement the work uniform. It is made from a denim-like fabric, but it is more hardwearing and washable, while the cropped fit with gussets at the back ensures ease of movement. 

The 5-pointed star or pentagram on the collar tips is an embellishment which is typically associated with the Italian army. It takes its cues from the “Star of Italy”, one of the oldest national symbols. Also, the 5-pointed star emblem has been used since the late 1800s.
