MYAR - ALLOVER RAINFOREST SHORT
PRESENT
Sweatshort made from deadstock fleece fabric and with embroidery application along the outside of the leg of rainforest patterned printed fabric. Both fabrics are sourced from warehouse deadstock, reused and re-recycled with a view to the circular economy.
Two cargo pockets have been applied along the leg composed of alternating solid and printed fabric details. MYAR logo printed with bio-based water colour on the left pocket.
PAST
This cargo pant takes its inspiration from the historic cargo pant in the short-leg version.
The Cargo Pant was introduced by the British army in the late 1930s and immediately taken up by the American army in the 1940s. Their original function was for military workwear: they are loose-fitting trousers, designed for tough working environments and outdoor activities, with numerous large pockets for carrying tools.
A cargo pocket is a patch pocket, often made with accordion pleats to provide greater capacity, and closed by a flap secured by press studs, magnets or Velcro.
