PAST

PIXEL CAMOUFLAGE

Pixel Camouflage, also known as multi-scale camouflage, or Digital Camouflage, or even Pattern Camouflage, is a military camouflage pattern that combines geometric patterns at multiple scales often created with the assistance of computers. The purpose of this camouflage is to destroy the contours of figures to make them less visible.

Although it might seem that this camouflage has a digital origin, it is actually inspired by the fractal shapes of nature, where plants and rock formations show similar patterns in different scale sizes. Many animals have the ability to camouflage themselves precisely by adapting their camouflage pattern to the background, changing its size.
