This characteristic jacket is also called: ITALIAN DENIM IKE JACKET. Inspired by the famous “EISENHOWER JACKET”, also called “IKE JACKET”, created by USA Army during the Second World War requested by general Eisenhower himself, a perfect mix of military elegance and functionality. The Italian sample was developed for Air Force at the beginning of 80’s for integrating the job uniform, made with a fabric like denim, more resistant and easy to wash, the fit also guarantees good movements, thanks to the cropped style and to bellows  on the back. We also can say this jacket had a big catchment area, because it was used by many European ARMY The 5-pointed stars or pentagram, present on tips of the collar are a typical ornament, peculiarity of the Italian army, they are connect to the "Star of Italy" one of the oldest symbols of the Italian country, there is news of the introduction of 5-pointed stars  already at the end of the 1800s. During 80’s and 90’s, the Air Force and infantry have embroidered this little star on the jacket collars, currently this type of embroidery that is also present on our IKE JACKET in question is no longer used.
