The Italian army adopts four types of uniforms to be used for various situations: Ordinary Uniform, Service Uniform, Combat Uniform and Ceremony Uniform. Following the Second World War, the khaki colour was adopted, which over the course of time will evolve from a chromatic point of view, taking a more greenish hue. This is the case of the old model "Campagnola" jacket introduced at the end of the 70's and used until its exhaustion until the end of the 80's - beginning of the 90's. The jacket is counted among the service uniforms (consisting of a mismatched trouser jacket) and was supplied to the ground troops of the Italian army. It is studied and designed on the basis of the old concept of the M-51 American jackets, with which the revolution of the removable internal padding was introduced. In this case, therefore, we have an inner jacket made with synthetic padding that could be removed at will and depending on the temperature by the soldier. The outer jacket is made of waterproof sateen and ensures excellent performance against the elements, it also has a hood that can be hidden in the back of the collar if necessary. The jacket model country could therefore be used not only in winter, but very often was brought by soldiers, after removing the padding even in the hottest months. It was very practical and functional thanks to its extremely robust technical material.
